Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Coordination Assistant to support our manufacturing team by printing and managing job orders, coordinating material flow, and assisting both production and management teams to ensure the timely completion of customer orders. This role is critical in maintaining smooth operations, efficient scheduling, and an uninterrupted production flow in our highly automated glulam facility.
Pay depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Job Order Processing & Documentation:
- Print and distribute job orders, production schedules, and work instructions to the production team.
- Track and update order statuses, reporting progress to supervisors and management.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of production orders, schedules, and reports.
Material Flow & Inventory Coordination:
- Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor stock levels, anticipate shortages, and communicate material needs to management.
- Assist in organizing raw materials, components, and finished goods for streamlined production.
Production Coordination & Communication:
- Collaborate with machine operators, automation technicians, and production supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Communicate any delays, material shortages, or equipment issues to management and help implement solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing workflow optimizations.
Administrative & Organizational Support:
- Assist in scheduling production tasks to meet order deadlines and maximize automation efficiency.
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems for production records, reports, and work orders.
- Prepare reports and production tracking metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or administrative role is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, automated production environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production and management teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP or production tracking systems is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing production demands.
