Position
As a Customer Success Analyst, you will be an authority in translating customers’ data into business impact through advanced analytics solution. This role combines strategic business thinking with hands-on BI application. Join a team of highly skilled domain experts, and leverage cutting edge analytics technology to drive transformation in Fortune 500 companies. Work directly with customers and collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) as well as with other internal interfaces such as data operations, R&D, sales and product teams.
What You Will Do
- Leverage the SmartSense Prescriptive Analytics tools to create patterns (like analytics queries or algorithms that drive business results and improve operational processes for our customers
- Coding skills are an advantage
- Provide and support the implementation and ongoing success of SmartSense Prescriptive Analytics, by providing hands on analytics, building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out analytics processes; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
- Collaborate with both customers and internal teams (CST) to drive successful implementation and adoption of an advanced analytics solution, including reviewing data sources, collecting business requirements, configuring analytics
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in SmartSense Prescriptive Analytics best practices and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans for our customers, by providing advice and guidance. These actions are simple text, videos and forms that would enhance the desired outcomes once the patterns identify an opportunity
- Work with the R&D science team for machine learning algorithm and implementation
- Discover new patterns ideas and improve the logic of existing ones
- Set success criteria and communicate around KPIs
- Perform analysis and find business opportunities in the data
- Become an expert in the analytical capabilities for both customers and internal interfaces
- Own the “Pattern bank”, which is a knowledge across industries of patterns of behaviors that generate ROI outcomes with our customers
- Help develop the strategy for advanced data analytics capability
Who You Are and What You Bring
- Education: BA/BS degree in Math/Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working on a BI tool (Tableau, SAS, Power BI, etc..).
- Strong business acumen - ability to convert vague business requirements into functional analytics implementation, and relate results back to business value
- Client facing skills - ability to work directly with different functions on the client side (both technical and business), deliver against a roadmap, manage expectations, and navigate escalations
Desired But Not Required
- Familiarity with omni-channel retail data sources (POS, inventory, e-com, etc.)
- Experience working for a Retail organization in Loss Prevention/Asset Protection, Store Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain
- Experience in big data infrastructures and BI implementation
- Experience with ML models such as anomaly detection, clustering, and decision trees
- Experience with analytics languages like SAS, R or Python
Travel Requirements: Up to 33% travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $61,500 - $96,500. Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location. The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary offered within the range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to the candidate’s relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Pay ranges are typically reviewed and updated annually.
