Technical Specialist

SmartShield Homes has an immediate opening for a Smart Home and Security Specialist in one of Florida’s largest A/V companies. Work with leading-edge brands such as Control4, Lutron, Sony, and B & W.
Responsibilities:
- All aspects of low voltage wiring and trim
- Follow wiring prints or diagrams.
- Work with builder job superintendents to resolve any issues encountered
- Install and activate residential and light commercial wireless security systems and smart home products
- Offer for sale additional products and services to homeowner
- Properly demonstrate the system to a client and obtain sign-off for training and/or service completion
- Installation of speakers, cameras, NVRs, TVs, and Wireless Audio systems
- Provide prompt, courteous, and excellent customer service
- Attention to project timeline and scheduling impact
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- FASA/BASA Certification a plus
- Problem and troubleshooting skills
- Positive and professional attitude with a focus on quality and team success
- Availability for on-call/after-hours support (compensated accordingly)
- Applicant must have a valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
- Employment is contingent on the successful completion of a drug/alcohol screening background check
