The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of a large-scale electrical project. This includes overseeing design, installation, and commissioning activities while ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role requires a strong background in electrical systems, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of managing complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for the electrical scope of the project.
- Define project milestones and deliverables in alignment with client and company goals.
- Execution & Oversight:
- Oversee all phases of electrical work, from design and procurement to installation and commissioning.
- Manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
- Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead a team of electricians, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to achieve project objectives.
- Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and vendors for the electrical scope of work.
- Provide regular project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Monitor and control project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial targets are met.
- Allocate resources effectively, adjusting as necessary to meet project demands.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all electrical installations meet quality and performance standards.
- Address and resolve any technical or operational issues promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience managing large-scale electrical projects, with a proven track record of successful delivery.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and installation processes.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar).
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and other relevant standards.
- Experience with high-voltage systems, complex wiring, and energy-efficient technologies is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
