Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide personalized educational support to students of various ages and learning abilities. Responsibilities
- Develop customized lesson plans based on individual student assessments and learning goals.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in Math and ELA subjects.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of complex concepts.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material.
- Assist students in developing study skills, test-taking strategies, and self-confidence in their academic abilities.
- Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and motivation.
- Stay current with educational best practices and incorporate technology as needed to support learning objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Math and ELA subjects on an elementary, middle and high school level.
-Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Experience working with children or adults in an educational setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Proven tutoring experience with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to calculate academic progress using various assessment tools.
- Proficiency in using computerized tools for lesson planning and student assessment is desirable.
