Key Responsibilities:
- Create a culture aligned with our values within the salon.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team to achieve results.
- Meet sales, profit, and expense targets set by your DL/SDL.
- Deliver quality services including an exceptional client consultation, price quote, and retail recommendations.
- Conduct engaging new hire orientations utilizing established guidelines.
- Exceed minimum productivity standards as determined by the company.
- Establish service and sales expectations with each stylist and track progress according to DL/SDL requirements.
- Evaluate employee performance, including services provided by all salon staff.
- Regularly provide feedback and training to employees.
- Resolve guest complaints and perform technical adjustments as needed.
- Document technical adjustments and follow up with the stylist.
- Maintain wait times, monitor walk-outs, and voids.
- Work the lease line during downtime to promote the salon and acquire new clients.
- Schedule based on business needs using scheduling tools and guidance from DL/SDL.
- Recruit, interview, and hire staff. Collaborate with Human Resources to schedule and collect required documents.
- Document important conversations, incidents, and performance expectations.
- Cultivate effective communication among the team, peers, supervisors, and support partners.
- Attend work on time consistently and adhere to company policies regarding time off requests.
- Approve stylist time off.
- Host salon meetings at least once a month.
- Manage inventory, conduct cycle counts, and place orders to control operating costs.
- Accurately charge for services rendered and products purchased, adhering to Company policy regarding discounts.
- Audit the accuracy of daily opening, closing, guest service tickets, and discounting.
- Ensure bank deposits are made daily.
- Perform salon duties such as reading reports, processing payments, answering phones, taking appointments, stocking shelves, merchandising, dispensary/salon maintenance, and cleaning.
- Protect the assets of your salon and ensure adherence to policies.
- Ensure the salon is open during posted hours and assist with scheduling coverage for employees' shifts when necessary.
- Foster relationships with building management (e.g., Walmart, Facilities Management) to adhere to tenant standards, including but not limited to floors, lighting, gates/locks, operating hours, and trash.
