Invoicing Specialist – Tacoma, WA | Pay: $20 - $28/hour - DOE | Monday - Friday | Temp to Hire

SmartTalent is looking for a motivated Invoicing Specialist who thrives on accuracy and prompt completion of moderate to complex invoicing projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply contract language for invoicing.
- Create complex invoices based on customer contracts and sales guidance.
- Gather invoice backup documentation from both internal and external sources.
- Prepare historical reports for customers and internal teams.
- Assist sales executives with customer quotes.
- Address and resolve invoicing inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain written standard operating procedures.
- Perform soft collection activities.
- Process third-party invoices.
Additional Duties:
- Answer and direct incoming calls for a team of 5-10 people.
- Greet and assist office visitors.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of general accounting principles.
- Ability to interpret business financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in logistics, maritime industries, or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with AS/400 computer systems is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Two years of bookkeeping experience or a degree in accounting or business, plus one year of relevant experience.
