SmartHire is looking for a Maintenance and Sanitation Manager for a client in Lafayette, CO. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities / industrial maintenance within a manufacturing industry. In addition to strong mechanical and sanitation practices, strong math and computer skills needed
Salary : 100k DOE

POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Sanitation and Maintenance is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance and sanitation programs and has direct oversight over : all equipment and facilities maintenance, equipment and facilities' projects, equipment and facility sanitation procedures, GMP's, overall organization and cleanliness, day-to-day operations and personnel.
Key Job Duties :
- Develop and enforce maintenance procedures while ensuring safety compliance.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective actions.
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues independently and within a team.
- Maintain accurate records, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
- Lead and mentor maintenance and sanitation teams, fostering a positive culture.
- Oversee personnel duties such as hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage preventive maintenance, work orders, pest control, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Administer inventory for maintenance and sanitation departments, including equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with management to align maintenance, sanitation, and GMP initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs and performance targets, ensuring goals are met and driving accountability.
- Ensure documentation and compliance with maintenance and sanitation programs.
- Evaluate new equipment in collaboration with the plant manager.
- Interpret GMP regulations, implement continuous improvements, and address audit findings and CAPAs.
- Coordinate with third-party contractors and service providers, maintaining professional relationships.
