Role Overview: This position leads AI engineering efforts, overseeing product iterations, roadmap development, and enhancing product-market fit for a company transitioning to a direct-to-consumer (D2C) model. The ideal candidate should have a solid Python background with experience in production-level coding. While healthcare experience is not mandatory, it is a plus.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the AI roadmap to align with company objectives and market needs.
- Lead the development of conversational AI systems for patients and healthcare providers.
- Improve LLM Operations, ensuring safety and performance in healthcare applications.
- Utilize AI research, such as RAG, fine-tuning, and RLHF, to enhance LLM capabilities.
- Drive computational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in AI system deployments.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing AI team.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in healthcare, technology, and research.
Required Experience:
- 7 years of Python programming, specializing in AI & ML solutions with production experience.
- 3 years of experience in a Senior Manager or Director role.
- Proven track record in deploying AI systems at scale.
- Experience with LLMs and production deployment frameworks.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, particularly clinical NLP.
- Full-stack development experience, especially with React and AI integration.
- Expertise in AWS ML and Life Science Cloud.
