Technical Focus Azure Expertise Required:
The client maintains a hybrid infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure. Therefore, we are specifically seeking individuals with 3 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure cloud systems engineering, not just on-prem systems administration. Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure Backup, and related cloud services is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Server Administration: Oversee the configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of both on-premise and cloud-based server environments, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
Azure & Entra ID Management: Deploy, manage, and support Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, and networking components. Utilize Entra ID for identity and access management across hybrid environments.
Active Directory: Administer and maintain Active Directory, including user provisioning, group policy management, security permissions, and trust relationships.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage enterprise-level backup and recovery strategies using Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS).
Collaboration Platforms: Provide support for Microsoft Office applications, MS Teams, and related tools to ensure efficient communication and productivity.
Networking & Protocols: Configure and troubleshoot core networking components such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and the TCP/IP protocol stack.
Monitoring & Optimization: Implement and manage system monitoring tools to proactively track performance and reliability. Diagnose and resolve issues in real-time.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, procedures, and resolutions. Provide regular reports on system performance and health to IT leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Server Engineer or similar infrastructure-focused role.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, Active Directory, and other core Azure components.
Proficiency with Entra ID in hybrid cloud environments for identity and security management.
Strong background in Active Directory management, including DNS, GPOs, and user/group policies.
Experience administering Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS) for backup and recovery operations.
Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN connectivity.
Proven ability to support and troubleshoot Microsoft Office and MS Teams environments.
Familiarity with Citrix is a plus.
Experience working with system monitoring and alerting tools to optimize system performance.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.
Experience with alternative backup solutions or other cloud platforms.
Working knowledge of automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).
Ability to script or automate common administrative tasks for improved efficiency.
Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
