Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE)
Job Summary
The Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is responsible for proactively supporting clients power solutions across various market sectors.
This role requires strategic collaboration with the assigned Senior Business Development Manager and Customer Service Representative to provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales technical support.
Key responsibilities include assisting customers with product selection based on application needs, offering guidance on electrical, mechanical, and thermal aspects of product installation, and troubleshooting customer systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate technology, power architectures, and product positioning to both technical and business audiences.
- Drive business development efforts through:
- Direct Engagement Working closely with customers to identify and develop opportunities.
- Channel Collaboration Partnering with distributors to expand market reach.
- Gather and analyze customer system requirements, serving as a liaison to Product Line Engineers.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Conduct schematic reviews and provide design recommendations.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Travel 30-50% for customer visits, training, and support.
- Lead technical seminars and product training sessions for manufacturers representatives.
- Support hands-on product evaluations and testing.
- Generate application notes under the guidance of the FAE Manager.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in analog/power supply design or analog-based applications engineering.
- Strong electronics troubleshooting and technician skills.
- Deep understanding of analog design principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
