Job Description :
Cyber security managers are responsible for managing the cyber security of an organization. They oversee a team of IT professionals who work to protect the company from cyber threats and attacks.
Cyber security managers may also be tasked with developing and implementing policies that help ensure the safety of sensitive data or systems. This might include creating guidelines for employees on how they should handle sensitive information, as well as training programs to educate everyone on best practices when it comes to handling digital information.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Developing security policies, procedures, and guidelines based on industry best practices
- Maintaining awareness of new cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to keep the organization secure
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities
- Monitoring network and endpoint activity to identify signs of intrusion or compromise
- Developing security policies, procedures and guidelines that are compliant with federal regulations
- SOC II Type II and / or ISO 27001 : 22 certification management
- Providing technical support for computer networks, including firewalls, operating systems and applications, patch management, and data security best practices
- Supervising and training staff on information security best practices to ensure compliance with company policies
- Conducting audits to ensure security protocols are being followed by staff
- Providing training in information security best practices to employees or clients
