The anticipated salary range for this role is between $190,000.00 and $227,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description
The Azure Data Architect is responsible for oversight and daily management of both cross-functional and internal projects that involve designing and building enterprise data assets (including data lakes) and implementing cloud-based data solutions using Azure services (like Azure Data Factory, Databricks) for the bank as well as operational discipline for execution.
The Business stakeholders include the Information Control Department (Chief Data Officer), Finance Controllers, Regulatory Reporting and Risk Management as well as other internal customers. The preferred candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise for leading strategic initiatives to standardize data and enable business analytic capabilities (including but not limited to required Risk & Regulatory Reporting for the Bank) as well as day-to-day operational execution responsibilities. As a Senior level contributor, must demonstrate strong communication and relationship building competencies. Strong Program and project management skills also a key skill requirement.
The Azure Data Architect reports to the Director of Data Management Design and Development within the Corporate Systems department.
Role Objectives
- We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Data Architect to join our Cloud data solutions team.
- This role will be responsible for designing, developing & deploying cloud data solutions for risk, regulatory, finance & compliance projects and be at the forefront of on-prem to cloud migration initiative.
- This role will require indirect leadership and mentorship of junior team members.
- Work with business teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, needs, or process gaps that would be addressed via proposed applications.
- Engage with IT systems architects, database administrators, and cyber security team to meet the back-end functionality demands of the application.
- Liaise with other technology and development teams as needed to coordinate on the integration of applications with the larger company software ecosystem.
- Participate in periodic development meetings to align development priorities and objectives, assign tasks, and share experiences and challenges with applications under development

10 years of software development experience in enterprise applications, preferably in the financial services industry and on data-heavy systems
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or information systems preferred.
