Role Description
The Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Architect will be part of the IAM Architecture and Engineering function within SMBC. The CIAM Architect will work with the Group Companies to provide elegant solutions that adhere to the core principles of Zero-Trust, Just-In-Time and Just-Enough-Access but balance it with a frictionless experience for end users and applications. The ideal candidate must be a subject matter expert in IAM and be aware of modern authentication protocols and industry standards. The Architect will be responsible for architecting the CIAM solutions that manage the digital identity and access of customers in an organization. The ideal person must be experienced in architecting CIAM projects using platform like ForgeRock / Ping, Okta / Auth0, Azure B2C, and have insights into CIAM business stakeholders and market dynamics.
Role Objectives
- The Architect / Engineer will develop / maintain the overall CIAM architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and industry best practices
- Set long-term objectives, outline steps to achieve them, and transition from the bank’s current state to its envisioned future.
- Design scalable, highly available and secure CIAM solutions, including authentication, authorization, identity verification, identity lifecycle management and access governance
Research and evaluate CIAM platforms, tools, and technologies that meet the organization’s needs
Qualifications and Skills
Experience with CIAM platforms (e.g. Forgerock / Ping, Okta / Auth0, Microsoft Entra B2C / External ID)
