The anticipated salary range for this role is between $68,000.00 and $80,000.00. Role Description
This position is responsible for supporting the management reporting function of the FSPDAD-Accounting – Vendor Accounting Group for Compensation Accounting transactions such as payroll and benefits accounting, personnel accruals and month end closing functions. Also, this position is responsible for assisting with head office reporting and interacting and coordinating with internal departments within the Bank and subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Management Reporting Manager, this position will be responsible for assisting with the development of internal controls and policies and procedures for Compensation Accounting. He / She will carry out tasks related to processing journal entries for compensation, accruals for vacation, severance, bonus, medical etc. The role will require the incumbent to create and maintain balance sheet and expense reconciliation for accounts related to personnel expenses.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
- Relevant accounting experience.
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task. Strong analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of financial reporting and general accounting practices (US GAAP, J-GAAP, IFRS).
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end / year end closing processes.
- Experience with payroll accounting preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of Oracle Application and / or other accounting application.
- Proficient Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc).
- Financial service industry experience a plus, but not required.
