The anticipated salary range for this role is between $225,000.00 and $225,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description
Monitor and hedge corporate banking portfolio risk, while seeking to optimize profitability of an overall portfolio of funding commitments. Facilitate transactions as needed and execute periodic and ad hoc reporting on a portfolio to drive decision-making.
Role Objectives : Delivery
Analyze risks within the corporate banking loan portfolio from a macro, industry, or idiosyncratic perspective by monitoring cross-asset market pricing (issuer specific or broader markets), economic data, company reports, and independent research. Assist in monitoring risks in the portfolio, highlighting concerns, and making recommendations for mitigation, including syndication and / or identification of distressed assets. Support secondary market activity by highlighting opportunities that meet desired criteria for syndication and / or securitization. Provide analytical and advisory services in connection with other potential risk reduction opportunities depending on options available (including credit derivative swaps, loan sale, or credit insurance). Monitor obligors in the loan portfolio, credit and equity markets, and macro environment and provide commentary, risk rating scorecards, covenant compliance and viewpoints to relevant departments. Review assigned deals for compliance, portfolio performance and financial triggers. Advise the origination team of any concerns that could impact the portfolio. Enhance database to show a complete view of a client relationship within the region. This includes showing all income sources, exposure, deposits, risk assets, etc. Leverage this information to drive strategic discussions regarding client and departmental profitability. Recommend process and methodology enhancements to increase efficiency and mitigate risk. Assist in underwriting increases to total facility, M&A transactions, dividends, refinancing, and re-pricing transactions that arise from existing portfolio accounts Execute documentation and closing for credit transactions as needed, delivering ongoing monitoring and maintenance activities on an assigned portfolio of loans.
Role Objectives : Interpersonal
Advise deal teams, credit risk management, and business leadership on use of capital, funding, credit risk mitigation, etc. Provide commentary and desk views to relevant departments on developments within macro environment, credit and equity markets, and individual companies that may affect the loan portfolio. Coordinate with marketing counterparts to leverage profitability data to help drive asset allocation. Partner with operations to very funding and eligibility criteria, update audit scopes and address and remediate actions with servicers for significant audit discrepancies. Serve as point person post-closing, interfacing with external partners such as auditors, banks and legal representatives. Support transaction restructuring and amendment as needed, advising the origination team, credit officers and colleagues within risk management.
Role Objectives : Expertise
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of portfolio management and / or credit, loan / CDS trading, underwriting, capital / liquidity management. Strong expertise / experience in portfolio management (including credit, underwriting to target holds, capital management, loan / CDS trading, liquidity / funding management) Employ a sound understanding of policies, procedures, compliance and bank regulatory matters. Show a strong knowledge of financial regulations (Basel III) and capital allocation models. Demonstrate an understanding of the firm's strategic objectives, credit risk management framework, as well as policies & procedures Use a strong credit background with the ability to independently evaluate capital structures, leverage, cash flows, repayment capacity, industry trends, competitive landscape and customer issues as well as other risks and mitigants.
