What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Helper position at SMBSC?
Cycle count parts; maintain overstock parts and tags, replace bin boxes and labels as needed. This position would help maintain proper inventory control protocols, place received parts and chemicals in their appropriate locations as needed, load/unload deliveries as needed. This position is also the backup for the chemical receiving position when the individual is on their two days off during the week. Comply with all federal and local regulations for chemical storage and disposal. Ability to work well with others. Must have good communication skills and basic computer knowledge. Ability to follow set procedures and maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work area. A mechanical aptitude for basic repair of small pumps and related systems. Good math skills for maintaining supply inventory and usage. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work both indoors and outside in all weather conditions. Ability to operate a forklift is required. Must also be able to work overtime as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
