Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the architectural design team. Identify staffing needs, recruit top talent, and provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Develop processes within the office to foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages a culture of design research, experimentation, and knowledge sharing within the design team.
- Explore innovative design methodologies, materials, and technologies to enhance the quality and sustainability of architectural solutions.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
- Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and industry forums to enhance skills and knowledge in architectural design leadership.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project objectives, requirements, and constraints. Conduct design reviews and evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years previous experience in architecture and interior design field, with a minimum 5-year professional Architecture degree from an accredited university. A strong background in building design on ground up, renovation and interior architecture projects.
- Architecture license is required.
- Expert in all aspects of architecture, interior planning, design and construction.
- Proven leader with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an understanding of how to position design firm services in multiple markets.
