PURPOSE
The Channel Operations Coordinator will serve as a vital part of the organization in supporting strategic initiatives as well as work on ad-hoc projects. This position will assist with research and analysis of data related to various areas of the business, with the focus of aligning business strategy between SMC and its channel partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for operational analysis, validation, cleansing, collection and reporting
Retrieve and analyze information / data, including manual files, external websites and statistical metrics from various sources that support senior management decisions
Respond to informational / data inquiries from various groups within the organization
Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc reports as needed
Must be able to collect and track key program statistics and metrics, and monitor/measure program performance, such as the Distributor Scorecard, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Annual Business Plan
Centralization of Target account program documentation and evaluation
Collaborate on Marketing initiatives by using a process which collects and funnels leads toward Channel Partners
Evaluate Distributor Effective sales power to ensure it is in line with SMC corporate strategy
Recommend financial and non-financial strategic alternatives and develop and maintain operational plans
Liaise between indirect channel partners and all levels of SMC’s organization
Coordinate with appropriate resources to troubleshoot, resolve and improve operational issues, efficiencies and strength in market
Communicate with channel partners on policy, product changes, and other formal business matters
Support the Contract Administrative Group and Management in defining, evaluating, managing and ensuring compliance with policies and terms of contractual agreements with indirect channel (including Distributor Operations and Sales Policy, Rebate Agreements, Strategic Sales Programs etc.)
Drive execution of operational and strategic internal and external audits
Facilitate on-boarding of new distribution channels
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position requires extensive work using a computer
Maintain seated posture for 8 or more hours per day based on support needs
May require evening and weekend work in response to the needs of the systems being supported
Lift up to 20 pounds
Some Travel may be required (15% or less)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience with business systems, analytics, operations or related fieldwork
Demonstrated experience in working with customers, identifying/understanding their needs and formally documenting business requirements.
Strong verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient process improvement, project management and technical knowledge.
Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel mastery
