This role is onsite at SMC's HQ in Noblesville, IN.
The Channel Operations Coordinator is a hybrid of traditional roles in strategic planning, sales operations, and business analytics – requiring a mix of strategy, market analysis, sales optimization, and operational support.
You will facilitate end-to-end coordination that aligns SMC’s business strategies with its customers—focused on developing and evolving operational processes and sales/marketing initiatives, with scalability and automation in mind. You will work closely with several departments to identify and solve issues, as well as implement new programs and processes that drive sales growth and streamline operational efficiency.
Sample projects range from highly strategic to administrative including evaluating new sales growth strategies, business planning, onboarding new customers, and regular review of key performance metrics.

Essential Duties
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for operational analysis, validation, cleansing, collection, and reporting
- Retrieve and analyze information/ data, including manual files, external websites, and statistical metrics from various sources that support senior management decisions
- Respond to informational / data inquiries from various groups within the organization
- Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad-hoc reports as needed
- Must be able to collect and track key program statistics and metrics, and monitor/measure program performance, such as the Distributor Scorecard, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Annual Business Plan
- Centralization of Target Account Program documentation and evaluation
- Collaborate on Marketing initiatives by using a process that collects, and funnels leads toward Channel Partners
- Evaluate Distributor Effective Sales Power to ensure alignment with SMC corporate strategy
- Recommend financial and non-financial strategic alternatives, as well as develop and maintain operational plans
- Liaise between customers and all levels of SMC's organization including senior management, sales division, customer service, supply chain, marketing, and finance groups.
- Coordinate with appropriate resources to troubleshoot, resolve, and improve operational issues, efficiencies, and strength in the market
- Communicate with channel partners on policy, product changes, and other formal business matters
- Support the Contract Administrative Group and Management in defining, evaluating, managing, and ensuring compliance with policies and terms of contractual agreements (including but not limited to Distributor Operations and Sales Policy, Rebate Agreements, Strategic Sales Programs, etc.)
- Drive execution of operational and strategic internal and external audits
- Facilitate on-boarding of new distribution channels
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Business, Statistics, Operations, or related fieldwork
- Advanced MS Excel & Office skills are required
- 2-3 years of experience in business strategy, financial analysis and planning is a plus
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills: demonstrated ability to structure complex problems and propose innovative solutions
- Self-starter with a high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand, with the freedom to choose appropriate tasks, sequence, and methods to achieve results
- Strong communication and presentation skills
