PURPOSE
- The Strategic Business Analyst will evaluate and perform analytics across several departments with the goal of identifying issues/opportunities, creating & identifying solutions, and streamlining processes related to sales optimization, program success, KPI management, and process compliance.
- Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate data to track key performance metrics; Synthesize raw data into digestible and actionable information that supports senior management decisions
- Liaise between customer and all levels of SMC's organization including senior management, sales division, customer service, supply chain, marketing, finance groups, etc.
- Coordinate with appropriate resources to troubleshoot, resolve and improve operational issues, efficiencies, and strength in market
- Maintain process & policy documentation. Communicate changes to the appropriate groups
- Support the Contract Administrative Group and management in defining, evaluation, managing and ensuring compliance with policies and terms of contractual agreements with indirect channel
- Respond to informational / data inquiries from various groups within the organization
- Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc reports as needed
- Must be able to collect and track key program statistics and metrics, and monitor/measure program performance
- Document reporting requirements, operational processes, and validate data components as required
- Work with the indirect channel of business to review, troubleshoot, and process point of sale on a pre-defined schedule
- Other duties as assigned
- Sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods
- May require evening and weekend work in response to the needs of the systems being supported
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred but not required
- Communication: Must be able to read/write/speak and understand English. Must be able to effectively communicate.

- Must be proficient in MS Excel (including Pivot Tables, Macros, and formulas)
- Perform duties with minimal direction if applicable
