POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE: Responsible for supplying components to the production line and removing finished goods back to the warehouse. Pulls sub-components from inventory for work orders, create kits and move components to the floor. Manage inventory transactions in IQ whenever moving components or finished goods. Also responsible for line clearance at the end of work order and return of unused pieces to inventory in IQ. Requirements include the ability to read and interpret DHRs (Device History Record), accurately count or weigh materials or parts and strong familiarity with computers. Fork lift experience and knowledge of IQ preferred.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for pulling and staging active production job(s) materials/components to the assigned production line and the return all finished goods to the warehouse audit area.
- Complete all relevant inventory transactions in IQMS.
- Comply with company and OSHA regulations.
- Regular attendance.
OTHER POSITION DUTIES:
- Properly put away, track, pick and pack inventory.
- Properly package and label parts and product.
- Load, unload, or stack materials and product.
- Measure, weigh or count materials and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Production experience required, experience in injection molding preferred.
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions and to read, write and communicate in English.
- The ability to read and interpret DHRs (Device History Record).
- Good counting and mathematical skills, strong attention to detail.
- Forklift experience preferred. (Position must be SMC Forklift Certified before operating forklift).
- Competent in the use of computers and various software’s, with the ability to access and enter data as necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- When required, following clean room gowning procedures which may include gown, hair and beard net, gloves, booties and other items as necessary.
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
- Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.

EQUIPMENT USED: This position utilizes the computer, printers, telephone, calculator, forklift, scale, materials, fax machine, other general office equipment, and all production equipment.
CONTACTS: Customers, all SMC employees, Vendor Sales Representatives.
SUPERVISION OF PEOPLE: This position does not supervise employees.
