Job Summary: Provides overall financial direction for the accomplishment of the organization's strategic objectives, while effectively managing the financial reporting, analysis requirements of the business and the consolidation of results. Responsible for the annual budget and monthly forecast process including ensuring systems and models needed for success are updated / prepared. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Consolidate the financial results for the company for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including internal / external monthly financial statements, annual audits, annual budgets, trends and forecasts.
• Manage the Month-end and Budget timeline for the entire company.
• Manage the external audit process.
• Prepare financial presentations for the Executive Leadership team, including P/L and Balance Sheet metrics, and analyzing information while recommending alternative courses of action to drive cost reductions and / or profit improvements.
• Responsible for customer collections and payments to suppliers for all of SMC.
• Develop internal controls and oversee audits of policies and procedures meant to preserve the organization's assets.
• Enhance, develop, implement and enforce policies / procedures via systems to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
• Serve as Accounting’s ERP subject matter expert and test any new ERP updates or recommendations around process improvements.   
• Effectively motivate, coach, and mentor personnel in the finance organization.
• Perform inter-company reconciliations.
• Assure accurate and timely completion of all company external required documentation.
• Lead projects related to compliance, driving success within the business and others as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related discipline and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience using standard cost systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures which apply to accounting, financing and ERP systems.
• Diverse knowledge in network systems and ERP applications. 
• Previous leadership experience and ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications                                

• CPA and / or CMA certification or eligibility.
• MBA Degree.
• Multi-plant or corporate experience.

ADA Requirements

• Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
• Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
• Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
• Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
• Travel by air or car, approximately 20%
