Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and sterile conditions within the clean room and other critical areas in the plant. Ensures that all cleaning procedures adhere to strict regulatory standards and protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product quality.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of the clean room and adjacent areas, including floors, walls, ceilings and other surface.
- Maintain and replenish stock of cleaning supplies and materials in accordance with company inventory policies.
- Follow strict clean room protocols to minimize particulate and microbial contamination.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and other regulatory requirements specific to medical manufacturing environments.
- Work with the Quality Control (QC) team to identify areas for improvement in cleanliness or procedure adherence.
- Accurately record cleaning activities, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are documented as required.
- Report any deviations from established cleaning protocols or issues with equipment to the supervisor promptly.
- Perform routine cleaning on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule, as required.
- Comply with all safety regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Participate in regular training and updates on clean room safety, hygiene, and cleaning protocols.
- Conduct all activities in a manner that ensures the health and safety of self and other employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in clean room maintenance, ideally in a medical manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, with attention to detail in executing cleaning tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain documentation accurately.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and other clean room regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry materials or products up to 40 lbs. occasionally; up to 20 lbs. frequently.
- Performing tasks that involve frequent hand and arm motions
- Frequently bending, squatting, reaching, or twisting when handling equipment or supplies.
- Occasional climbing of ladders or step stools to reach elevated items.
- Ability to hear and/or see alarms or alerts in the environment
- Occasionally performs keying functions on a computer or equipment.
