Home Delivery Relief Driver

South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family; we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 24 years and counting! The crew here at SMC is proud of what we do, and we approach every situation with our Values in mind. We are currently hiring for a Home Delivery Relief Driver at our Home Farm location in Middletown, MD!

Our Delivery Drivers are the driving force of SMC (get it?) – without our Delivery Team, SMC would not be where we are today. It’s a crew made up of self-motivated, safe, and detail-oriented people – are you ready to join us?

Duties include but are not limited to:

Driving established home delivery routes-which may include areas like Baltimore, Virginia, West Virginia and DC

Responsible for making accurate home deliveries

Provide backup for other home delivery drivers

Pickup wholesale products

Making re-deliveries

Delivering high value single deliveries

Re-staging the dock, reporting problems to management

Helping in production or packing when needed

Complete other delivery tasks as needed

Assist other departments as needed

Loading and unloading vehicles

Lifting 40-50lbs from ground level to waist height

Carrying deliveries to the customer’s preferred delivery location

Utilizing a tablet to read customer orders

Completing other delivery tasks as needed

Assisting other departments as needed

The shift for this position is Tuesday - Friday 7am – 5pm and is paid a daily rate.

$288.00 per day, plus tips
