Position Summary
We are seeking experienced machine operators for our structural steel fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will operate various shop equipment including CNC drill lines, plasma cutting robots, beam line processing machines, and horizontal band saws. This position requires technical skill, attention to detail, and strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CNC equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and production schedules
- Set up machines according to specifications and verify proper operation
- Perform quality control checks and maintain production documentation
- Clean and maintain equipment according to prescribed schedules
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
Qualifications
Required:
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and provide documentation upon hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with measuring tools
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures
- Able to physically perform task requirements including consistently lifting 65 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work extended hours.
- Able to consistently arrive ready to work at the start of shift.
Preferred:
- Experience in structural steel fabrication
- CNC programming knowledge
- Forklift experience
- Overhead crane experience
- Experience in manufacturing/fabrication environment
