What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audience Growth and Engagement Lead position at SME?
Responsible for developing strategies that grow and nurture an audience of manufacturing professionals and organizations across our magazines, websites, mobile app, and other affiliated print and digital products and platforms. This role will work closely with content, sales and product teams to further develop existing audiences by evolving the customer journey, implementing new retention strategies and increasing audience engagement.
This role is crucial in expanding our reach, deepening connections with our audience, and fostering a vibrant community around SME’s mission.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive audience growth strategies to maximize the impact of SME’s mission, lifetime value, and build a digital consumer revenue program.
- Work with IT to ensure audience database can fulfill requirements for audience reporting requirements and monitor the integration of SME Media’s audience information into SME’s enterprise database.
- Work with appropriate internal and external clients develop personas to each target audience and recommend specific messaging for each product and audience, identifying channels and strategies to get reach them.
- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive audience development strategy to drive organic reach and audience growth across platforms.
- Grow audiences and lead audience revenue strategies, identifying opportunities and optimal methods for audience capture, and develop tactics to increase engagement.
- Lead internal conversations and strategy around audience growth, engagement initiatives and best practices.
- Create new reports and dashboards to enhance our ability to track audience growth initiatives.
- Leverage data to derive insights, developing and implementing actionable strategies that drive impact and scalability of audience-driven platforms.
- Create and optimize registration, subscription and audience monetization processes across platforms.
- Work with the content team to develop, execute, analyze and improve SEO rankings for a manufacturing audience.
- Manages relationship with related vendors.
- Responsible for budgets forecasts requisition and invoice approval for assigned area.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or equivalent related work experience.
- At least five (5) or more years’ experience in a similar role responsible for audience growth marketing.
- At least five (5) or more years’ experience working with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tool.
- Experience in managing online audiences is required.
- Expertise in CRM systems and marketing automation platforms is required.
- Previous experience in managing digital subscriptions and/or online consumer revenue is highly desirable.
