SMF is a supplier of specialized truck equipment with high standards for engineering, fabrication and quality. We manufacture aerial devices (with heights ranging from 18’ to 65’) and specialized truck bodies (in steel, aluminum and stainless steel). We also offer truck– or trailer–mounted reel loaders, specialized walk-in vans and customized van interiors. In addition, SMF is a distributor of snowplows, fiberglass bodies, cranes, articulated cranes and articulated aerials. SMF utilizes the latest engineering technology, including 3-D Auto-Cad and Solid Works programs.

Do you have a demonstrated mechanical, electrical, or technical aptitude? Are you seeking a chance to expand your knowledge and skills related to electrical installation and troubleshooting?

You will learn, from the ground up, how to install a large variety of electrical devices and accessories on vehicle platforms. You will become familiar with both AC and DC electrical theory. You will learn the function and installation of 12 Volt and 120 Volt components and circuits. You will learn to install new equipment by installing power supply wiring and conduit to and between machines and equipment using hand tools and test equipment. You will learn to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems and be able to completely inspect all vehicles after installation.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Must be punctual, have good work ethic.
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a faced paced production environment.
- Ability to define and solve problems without assistance.
- Self-starter with a high degree of problem solving skills and deductive reasoning.
- Employees are to supply ANSI approved toe protection footwear.
- Must be able to read, understand, and speak the English language.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
