Overview:
The International Student Exchange Program (ISE) is looking for an enthusiastic representative in the N. Platt area to help connect international high school students with local host families for an unforgettable academic year experience. This ‘cultural matchmaking’ role is perfect for those who love engaging with their community and can appreciate what devoting 3-5 hours weekly, right from home, can accomplish in building lasting global friendships.
Whether you're a stay-at-home parent, a retired teacher, or simply someone with a passion for making a difference in your community, this role could be your perfect fit.

- Recruiting Volunteer Families: Your primary role will be to find warm and caring N. Platt families willing to welcome an exchange student into their home for a semester or a year. You'll have the opportunity of professionally connecting with influential people in your community and sharing the joy of cultural exchange.
- Facilitate enrollment of ISE students: You’ll work closely with local high school administrators to ensure written school approval is given for each exchange student you match with a host family.
- Ongoing Support: Serving as a liaison in your community, you'll provide continuous support to students and host families, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for everyone involved
As a representative of ISE, you’re more than just a global bridge between international students and American host families—you're a global matchmaker. This 1099 contractor position, allows you to work from home, set your own hours, and weave this rewarding job into your everyday life.

About the Students You'll Mentor
ISE exchange students, aged 14 to 18, hail from over 40 countries. Each student is carefully screened before arrival for maturity, academic standing, and good health. The student will attend the nearest public high school to the host family, has his/her own spending money and insurance, and has expressed a true desire to become a participating member of his/her host family for a year - pitching in on everything from household chores to family activities.
