Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of various fitting techniques and the ability to work with a variety of tools and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize various tools and machinery, including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and power tools, to fabricate components.
- Perform welding tasks using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques as needed.
- Assemble ductwork and other metal structures with precision and attention to detail.
- Use calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions of fabricated parts.
- Operate forklifts safely for the movement of materials within the work area.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Strong skills in welding, soldering, ductwork assembly, and operating various power tools.
- Familiarity with press brake machines and plasma cutting processes is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
