Job Overview :
The California based Sr. HR Generalist will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources management for all sites throughout California, including, employee relations, HR and employee compliance, and HR and organizational strategy roll out. This role will serve as a partner to California management and department heads, providing expertise and guidance on HR-related matters to support the achievement of business goals and objectives. Strong emphasis for this position is a solid understanding of California based employment requirements.
Responsibilities :
Advise management as a strategic partner and change agent, fostering a positive workforce environment.
Serve as a liaison to resolve work-related issues between management and employees, conducting investigations, mediating disputes, overseeing terminations, and advising on conflict resolution
Engage proactively with employees to foster a positive work environment.
Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure clear communication, effective HR programs, and an engaged workforce during organizational changes.
Provide guidance on organizational policies, including equal employment opportunity, harassment, employee relations, and discipline, while recommending effective solutions for improvements.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly in California. Stay current on California legislation, arbitration decisions, HR best practices, and industry trends.
Recommend and oversee the development of California-specific policies and practices in alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
Collaborate with Payroll and HR leadership to ensure accurate administration of employee programs, including timekeeping, payroll, and HRIS / data management.
Lead special projects by identifying priorities, coordinating requirements, and ensuring timely completion while evaluating progress and recommending actions.
Develop and analyze key HR metrics such as safety, engagement, compensation, and turnover.
When necessary, represent the organization in HR related hearings and investigations, ensuring accurate completion of California-specific employee forms.
Conduct research and recommend HR program improvements, policy updates, and innovative strategies.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel is required to support California sites up to 20% of the time.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
8-10 years of progressive HR experience in California.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that drive business results.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
In-depth knowledge of California-specific employment laws, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination laws, and workers' compensation.
Understanding of relevant federal regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA) and all federal employment laws.

Proficiency in HRIS software (UKG would be preferable) and other HR-related technology tools
Advanced data analysis and reporting.

90-$100k base salary annually

SimonMed Imaging operates multiple locations throughout Northern and Southern California, including Santa Ana, Torrance, Los Angeles, San Jose, and San Francisco, among others.
