Job Description
The primary role of the Dental Laboratory Manager is to direct and manage all aspects of the dental laboratory operations. This includes the supervision of dental technicians and all related laboratory staff as well as ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. The successful candidate will report directly to the clinical director and will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of laboratory tasks. The laboratory sets a high standard in utilizing advanced CAD / CAM technologies in the creation of dental prosthetics, therefore, proficiency in these areas is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the laboratory's daily operations and technician team ensuring high efficiency and productivity.
- Direct the production flow of dental devices, ensuring each piece adheres to our strict quality guidelines.
- Coordinate with dental technicians to discuss dental cases and collaborate on treatment plans.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of laboratory materials and equipment, safeguarding against operational delays.
- Maintain meticulous records of all dental prostheses fabricated in the lab.
- Develop training programs for laboratory staff, focusing on both technical skills and professional development.
- Regularly assess and introduce new technologies and processes to maintain and enhance laboratory standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate service agreements and manage contracts effectively.
