Job Description
The Orthodontist specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of teeth and jaw irregularities and corrects misalignments using braces, retainers, and/or other orthodontic appliances. The orthodontist discusses diagnoses and treatment options with patients to help patients understand their medical needs and address various health-related concerns that impact them. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat dental malocclusions
- Practice orthodontics at assigned dental offices while upholding our company’s core purpose: caring for our patients
- Provide traditional orthodontic treatment and clear aligner therapy to patients of all ages
- Educate patients about improving and maintaining orthodontic care, and promoting routine dental health care
- Work collaboratively with office team, other providers, and leadership team to execute on key activities designed to provide the absolute best patient experience
Education, Experience & Skills/Abilities
- MI Dental License and Specialty Certificate from an accredited Orthodontic Residency Program
- 5 years' experience as an Orthodontist
- Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure positive patient experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively
- Proactively manage performance expectations
- Willingness to comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental and health care

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
