Smile Illinois, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Chicago, IL and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.
Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment, working parents and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

Dental Assistant Qualifications:
- Licensed EFDA
- Certified for Sealants and Polishing with experience
- Organized. Reliable. Ability to multi-task
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Must meet State requirements to operate X rays
- CPR certification card
- Min. of 1 year working experience as a Dental Assistant
- Digital X-ray Imaging experience
- Must have Valid driver license and a willingness to travel to schools in neighboring counties
- Works well with children
- Team player and able to work on a small team
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Chairside Assisting
- Dental Charting
- Sterilizing Instruments
- Checking in Children, entering data
- Pick-up/drop-off and collect permission forms to and from schools
- Work directly with school staff (i.e. school admin, nurse, teachers)
Smile Illinois Offers:

- Working a school day schedule (about 6 – 7 hours); on average between 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
