Our office is the children's dental home in Belmont, CA. We love what we do, and we make kids love going to the dentist!
Opened in August 2021, our office is fast-growing and full of potential. We are looking to add a cheerful, communicative and reliable dental assistant (DA or RDA) to join our expanding team. The right candidate must love working with children and be dependable. We can train everything else.
We are currently hiring for 4 days per week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays full-day (8:15 AM - 5:15 PM) required.

Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and parents in the dental office/treatment area.
- Take dental radiographs for our pediatric and teenage patients (Dental x-ray certificate is required)
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the treatment rooms clean and inventory well-stocked
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Occasionally assist with phone answering, scheduling, and other basic front desk needs as necessary.
Skills
- Experience as dental assistant a plus, although not required. New grads welcome--we are willing to train the right person!
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus; dental x-ray and basic life support certifications required, although we are willing to help train the right candidate.
- Adequate computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Additional certification or training, or prior experience working with children and/or customer service is an asset
- Be a motivated and positive team member!
- Must have or at least be working on the dental x-ray certification
