Job Summary:
We are a fast-paced and patient-centered dental clinic seeking a friendly, reliable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a busy setting, can multi-task efficiently, and is passionate about providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a warm and professional manner, creating a welcoming environment.
- Answer and manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and confirm patient bookings.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures, including PPO, Chip Medicaid and verifying insurance and collecting payments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and input data into Open Dental software.
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Manage and organize patient files and documents, maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly or direct them to the appropriate team member.
- Monitor and order front desk supplies, ensuring the reception area is clean and stocked.
- Assist in managing patient recall systems and treatment plan follow-ups.
- Ensure smooth daily operations of the front desk with attention to detail and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of Front Desk Receptionist experience is required.
- Experience with Open Dental software is preferred.
- Must have prior dental office experience.
- Bilingual candidates are highly preferred (Spanish/English).
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using dental management software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and professional demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental administration is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
