Smiley Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position is crucial in ensuring that patients receive efficient, top-quality dental care. As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a key role in maintaining treatment room readiness and providing essential support to our dentists, contributing to the overall success and growth of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and common office areas to ensure peak readiness.
- Collaborate with dentists and the team to review and prepare for upcoming patient treatments.
- Greet and seat patients, take blood pressure, review patient history, and provide necessary information.
- Assist dentists during procedures, offering efficient support throughout treatment.
- Take accurate x-rays in a timely and professional manner.
- Sterilize instruments and treatment areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Confirm trays, materials, and lab cases are prepared for the next day's patient schedule.
- Uphold OSHA safety protocols and office standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- A passion for delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Energetic, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively.
- Organized with the ability to make sound judgments in a busy, pressure-oriented setting.
- Strong computer skills are required.
- Ability to understand and communicate dental/orthodontic terminology.
- CPR certification is required.
- Texas RDA license is required.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28.00 – 40.00 per week
