Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic is highly desirable.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments and updating medical histories.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding for accurate record-keeping.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in areas such as pediatrics being a plus. Proficiency in using dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Epic is advantageous. A solid understanding of aseptic techniques and dental terminology is essential for success in this role. Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in medical coding will also be beneficial. Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
