Established Plaintiff’s personal injury law firm located on the North Loop is seeking a bilingual legal assistant with 0-5 years of recent experience at a Texas personal injury law firm.

Qualifications: please do not apply unless you have all the qualifications listed below:
- Speak fluent Spanish and English;
- Proficient with Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat;
- Must be thorough and extremely detail oriented;
- Must be able to work and multi-task in fast-paced and high-pressure environment under strict deadlines;
- Must be punctual and have the ability to work 40 hours per week;
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills;
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently;
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and meet strict deadlines;
- Must have the ability to identify creative and effective solutions to complex problems or challenges; and,
- Must be able to comply with the firm’s policies and standards at all times.
Job Requirements: The candidate will be responsible for the following (previous experience preferred but not required):
- Ordering medical records in admissible format from health care providers;
- Scheduling and calendaring appointments, travel, deadlines, meetings, depositions and other pretrial and trial deadlines;
- Scheduling and arranging attorney and client travel;
- Filing and organizing legal documents and correspondence;
- Creating and organizing exhibits, medical records, discovery, and other documents for mediation and trial;
- E-filing in Texas state and federal courts;
- Drafting legal correspondence in connection with cases filed in Texas state and federal courts;
- Preparing and perfecting citations for service of process;
- Preparing and responding to correspondence from health care providers, experts and clients;
- Calendaring and scheduling depositions and other pre-trial deadlines;
- Communicating and coordinating with expert witnesses and doctors;
- Preparing petitions and complaints for filing in state and federal courts;
- Creating and responding to written discovery; and,
- Assisting with depositions, mediation and trial.
Compensation: $30,000 to $35,000 salary based on experience with bonus potential. Health, vision and dental insurance available with paid vacations and free parking.'
