Construction Materials Laboratory Supervisor Manager
SAECO provides geotechnical engineering, construction QA/QC, and environmental services to clients across the Southwestern U.S. The firm is locally owned and operated and is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. We have an opening for a Laboratory Manager in our Tucson office. Current or previous ATTI Laboratory and ACI Laboratory certifications are preferred. We will provide training and assistance to certify to right candidate.
Job Requirements:
Perform routine laboratory testing as needed as well as supervising other laboratory testing technicians performing various tests on the following construction materials:
- Soils and Aggregate Testing
- Concrete Testing
- Hot Mix Asphalt
Follow company safety policies, including driving (if driving is required) and working safely.
The position will require supervisory skills including training new laboratory technicians, calibration and maintenance of test equipment, ensuring quality of the laboratory testing, monitoring efficiency of the laboratory testing, and producing laboratory reports.
Although the work is generally performed between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm longer shift work may be required. The employee will be frequently required to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Required Skills:
- Basic math skills
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years related work experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory history
- ATTI Laboratory and ACI Laboratory Certification, preferred. Or ability to acquire ATTI and ACI certification within 3 months of hire.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
