We are excited to announce a unique new opportunity for a Psychiatrist to work on our ACT Team in Staten Island. Our growing hospital system has over 100 beds with three adult units, one adolescent unit, a geriatric unit, and an addiction rehab unit. This opportunity would have no on call or weekend coverage. We offer a flexible schedule during the work week and there are multiple Psychiatrists on staff that you would be working alongside. We allow Psychiatrists to have their own private practice as well. Title: Attending Psychiatrist
Location: Staten Island NY
Salary: $175/hour- 200.hour

Responsibilities:
Referring a patient for psychological testing to determine a diagnosis and its severity
Recommending and designing a treatment plan
Talking to the patients about their problems to try to resolve them
Exploring the patients’ past experiences to learn how they affect their current state of mind and behavior (psychoanalysis)
Helping patients change their thought processes and behavior (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT)
Prescribing medication that can alter chemical imbalances affecting the patient’s state of mind and behavior
Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis
Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications
Develop a treatment plan, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as needed
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited Psychiatry Residency Program
Doctorate Degree of Medicine (MD/DO)
Active New York Medical License
Active DEA license
Board certified in Psychiatry
Excellent communication skills
