Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Managing Director of Regulatory Reporting, a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). This position offers the opportunity to build and optimize the regulatory reporting function while working closely with executives, regulators, and key stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, IT, and Compliance.
Leveraging AxiomSL, you will oversee the preparation and submission of critical reports, including FR Y-9C, Y-9LP, Y-14 Q/M, Y-15, and FFIEC 041, ensuring accuracy, automation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Reporting Leadership: Oversee the preparation, review, and timely submission of all required FRB, OCC, and FDIC filings.
- Regulatory Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies, managing examinations, audits, and inquiries related to financial reporting.
- Technology & Process Optimization: Implement and enhance the AxiomSL regulatory reporting platform to improve accuracy, automation, and efficiency.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Strategic Advisory: Monitor evolving regulatory requirements, assess their impact, and advise senior leadership on necessary actions and risk mitigation strategies.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of regulatory reporting professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
- CPA, CFA, and/or advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance) preferred.
- Approximately 10 – 20 years of progressive experience in regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services industry.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. regulatory reporting requirements, including FR 2052a, FR Y-14 (Q/M), Y-9C, Y-9LP, Y-15, and FFIEC Call Reports.
- Hands-on experience with AxiomSL (RegCloud/ControllerView) or similar platform, including data integration, reporting automation, and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of liquidity risk, capital adequacy, stress testing, and other regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Basel III).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail & data accuracy.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- The ability to present complex information to senior management and regulators.
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting systems, data management tools, and advanced Excel. SQL or data analytics skills are a plus.
