Title: Senior Tax Accountant - Hybrid
Salary: $85,000 to $115,000, Bonus
Location: Westchester, NY
An award-winning global leader in the services sector is seeking to hire a key Senior Tax Accountant who will play a central role in the company’s tax compliance, provision, and forecasting processes. Key responsibilities for you will include preparing US Federal and State Tax compliance including preparing work papers for partnership, consolidated corporate and foreign corporation returns. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in analyzing and reconciling tax depreciation reports, and perform technical tax research as needed while growing their career with a highly successful international service provider.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities for the Senior Tax Accountant will include the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax compliance and estimated payments in support of income tax returns.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions related to a joint venture.
- Researching tax positions and preparing technical tax and accounting memos to support tax and ac
- Reviewing and reconciling federal tax depreciation reports related to accounting positions for transactions.
- Providing support for internal and external audits and ensuring all transactions are in compliance with SOX internal controls.
- Reviewing and reconciling federal and E&P tax depreciation reports.
- Preparing other tax compliance, including excise tax returns and FBAR reports.
- Performing ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree in Tax is a plus.
- 3 years plus of work experience in public accounting or corporate accounting in a tax role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, and experience with writing technical tax memos and related research.
- Understanding of US partnership tax rules, experience working with Section 704 capital account and allocation rules, and an understanding of US tax depreciation rules for tangible property are a plus.
- Experience with federal and state tax compliance related to partnerships, US corporate consolidated groups, and foreign inbound companies (Form 1120-F).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including strong Excel required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft is a plus.
