NC Programmer

Smith Brothers Tool Company established in 1981 manufactures a variety of tool fabrication solutions for the Space, Aerospace, and Defense Industries. We are a premier machining, weld fabrication, and tooling shop that provides in-house design, engineering, building, and certification capabilities. Design and tool fabrication include assembly tools, lay-up tools, large and small checking tools, mill fixtures, and more. Some of our customers include Boeing, Bell Helicopter, GE Aviation, and Honda Aircraft Company. We are looking for the right person to join our team!

We are looking for a talented NC programmer to create secure and functional code. You may have to provide quality coding solutions both for simple applications and complex information or operating systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and software building. Attention to detail and an analytical mind are essential qualities for a successful career in programming. The goal is to design and build superior and innovative software by writing clean and flawless code Work NC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs
• Will create and develop tooling programs for CNC machines using Work NC.
• Will work with Windows and Network file transfer.
• Familiar with programming materials such as Aluminum, steel and stainless/weldments.

Skills and Qualifications

• Candidates need to have 3 plus years experience NC programming
• Must have experience programming in WORK NC
• Proven experience as a programmer or relevant role
• Must be organized and able to work on multiple projects at once
• Understands Mechanical properties associated with CNC cutting machines
• Understands and experience with surface development of various materials
• Industry Experience including as a CNC Operator preferred, but not required.
