Responsibilities
The MRI Program Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the Smith Chason MRI Program Director.
Engage students as full partners in the learning process, removing barriers to progression in the MRI program, and supporting their educational goals.
Use teaching methodologies that incorporate MRI concepts, promoting a positive and interactive learning environment.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in the healthcare industry related to MRI and assist the program director in creating and modifying courses to stay current with new regulations.
Actively participate in academic advising and collaborate with academic success coaches to support student resources.
Travel to clinical externship sites to meet with instructors and students, reviewing learning progress and competencies.
Assist in the preparation and administration of proficiency exams and maintain department equipment, supplies, and resources.
Actively participate in professional organizations, maintain current industry licensure and credentials, and complete annual staff development requirements.
Requirements
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
Must have at least two years of full-time experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field. Full-time is defined as 35 hours per week.
Must be willing to travel to clinical externship sites to meet with clinical instructors and students to review learning progress and competencies, at least twice per quarter per student.
Some in-state or out-of-state travel related to discipline-specific training is required.
Master's Degree in a Health Science field.
Strong knowledge of MRI Instruments.
