The Office Assistant at Smith Construction, Inc performs general administrative duties as instructed by Office Manager, and Owner/President. The Office Assistant is stationed at the reception desk and is primarily responsible for greeting customers, answering the phone and company radio, and taking detailed messages, as well as the duties described below. The Office Assistant is expected to maintain professional dress and demeanor, and to learn and adhere to Smith Construction, Inc’s policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, and the office procedures found in the Procedures Manual.
Duties
- Answering phones, directing those calls to the appropriate person
- Answering the company radio when necessary
- General office work (copying, filing, mail, etc.)
- Greeting customers
- Enter vendor invoices as assigned
- Update equipment & vehicle Information
- Update Parts & Maintenance purchase logs
Qualifications
Prior office and/or customer service experience, computer and critical writing skills
Pay
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
This position is part time, with 20-25 hours per week depending on the current needs of the office and determined by the Office Manager
