Heavy Equipment Operator Full-Time Weekend Night Shift

Job Description:

· Heavy equipment operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a mulching/wood center, using that equipment to load product in an efficient and safe manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

· Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights, and mirrors are clean. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include: front-end loader and other heavy equipment using proper safety standards.

· Continuously monitor mulch areas for evidence of hazards including fire.

· Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time.

· Perform and document minor service on equipment referring more complicated mechanical issues to maintenance for repair.

· Report any necessary repairs to supervisor as needed.

· Ensure that equipment is cleaned, serviced, and stored properly at the end of each shift.

Qualifications:

· Customer service interaction with internal and external customers for loading top side trailers, be courteous and cooperative towards customers and co-workers.

· Time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.

· Ability to adhere to work schedule and work through challenges as they rise.

· Adhere to Company policies and rules set forth, promote Company’s safety standards, and do not take risks.

· Strive to achieve goals

· Able to sit, stand, and maneuver in and out of equipment frequently.

· Must have reliable transportation.

Hours:

· Thursday-Saturday 4am to 4pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Night shift
• Weekends only
