What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift position at Smith Creek, Inc?
We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician for our 2nd Shift Operation to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of the premises and equipment.
The ideal candidate will be able to work alone or with a team, have attention to detail, and observe all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings, production machines, and common areas in their best possible condition. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as HVAC repair and installations, various machine breakdown repair, preventive maintenance tasks, and other duties such as needed.
The ideal candidate will be independent in the working environment, self-starter, great aptitude and attitude, able to troubleshoot with Production Supervisors to fulfill the needs of the operation, and also share information to the 1st shift and 3rd shift teams on issues that arise.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Preventive maintenance knowledge and utilization
- Industrial mechanical knowledge using motors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, conveyor systems, and 3 phase electrical systems
- Basic computer skills
- Team orientated, self-starter/motivator
- Provide hands-on support through troubleshooting equipment faults for diagnose problems and complete repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance on all production and building systems
- Facility and grounds maintenance
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Will provide training on specific machines as needed
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work overtime
- Minimum 2 years experience in direct work with Industrial Maintenance in Plant and Facilities environment
Preferred Skills:
- Electrical schematic, wiring and control knowledge
- Familiarity with PLC's and VFD's
- Welding, cutting, and fabrication
Shift:
- Sunday-Thursday
- 3 pm to 11:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
