Position: Full-Time Junior High School Mathematics Teacher Grade 6-8
Required Qualifications: REPA/REPA 3: Mathematics 5-9 (Mathematics 5-12 preferred)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities
- Use procedures to post syllabus, projects/lessons, and grades to the online student information system accessible to students, parents, and the community
- Maintain a classroom environment consistent with established codes of conduct and conducive to positive learning
- Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff
- Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required
- Communicate electronically with students, parents, and other staff members concerning student academic progress, attendance, and behavior
- Attend conferences and workshops in order to further advance professional development
- Work cooperatively with other personnel to improve instructional programs and the overall operation of the school
- Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus
- Administer frequent formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress. Analyze data to make instructional adjustments to improve student learning
- Participate in faculty and professional development throughout the school year
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals
- Grade papers and maintain grade books
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary: Based upon experience and qualifications
Contract: 185 Days
