Summary
As a Senior within the Transaction Advisory team, you will work as part of a team of critical thinkers to help clients understand and solve complex client issues. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day tasks necessary to drive a project from planning through completion. You will also be responsible for a variety of engagements such as transaction advisory services, process improvement, internal controls assessment and testing and general management consulting.
Essential Functions
- Identify process improvement opportunities, develop recommendations, communicate with stakeholders and work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Act as a key player in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements- analyzing the financials of the target company to identify matters that may impact the proposed transaction price/deal structure.
- Evaluate financial and operational trends of companies and communicate the results to stakeholders.
- Solve complex issues involving operational and accounting matters.
- Demonstration of professional interest in providing clients with quality services and personal attention by performing “above and beyond the call of duty” if necessary.
- Be a supporter of change by identifying opportunities to enhance internal processes that drive us towards excellence in the delivery of our advisory services.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to solve challenging, complex issues in a collaborative environment.
- Extract, format, and transform data from multiple sources to facilitate critical analysis and deliver meaningful information.
- Identify both industry specific and broader market trends that are applicable to our clients and become a trusted advisor.
- Participate in internal staff development and business development efforts.
- Adhere to professional ethics of the firm, AICPA and Georgia Society of CPA’s.
- Adhere to firm policy regarding client confidentiality.
- Pass CPA Exam if not already completed.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or other relevant degree program
- CPA licensed or eligible, with a planned path to obtain licensing
- Two to five years of public accounting experience, preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to multi-task with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment
